WE ARE WORKING TO UNDERSTAND HOW THE BRAIN INTEGRATES INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL ENVIRONMENTS TO GENERATE ADAPTIVE BEHAVIORAL OUTPUTS.

We use the fruit fly, Drosophila, to examine how well-defined sensory circuits demonstrate both robustness and flexibility required to generate appropriate behavior in the face of changing internal and external environments.
